Knowledge Based Solutions, Inc. was founded by Rob DuMoulin, who served as a principal Database Administration, Director of Business Intelligence, and Data Management consultant for multiple small, medium, and worldwide consulting firms. Though his clients spanned many industries, including manufacturing, retail, communications, service, medical, insurance, energy, e-commerce, marketing and others, Rob developed a unique and successful approach to Information Management that focused on core information management principles which apply to any mid to large-sized company.

Rob left the EMC corporation and started KBSI in 1999 to head up design on a multi-terabyte, multi-subject credit card data warehouse project at Citibank. He has been guiding clients and project teams through all aspects of Business Intelligence, Master Data Management, Data Governance, Enterprise Information Management, Data Architecture, and Data Quality since then.
